I raised over $1,000 on Facebook today to take all the kids from the Phuket Orphinarium to Splash Jungle waterpark this weekend. Ha! I made my first Phad Thai today and of course, green curry. Been on Phuket for years and never really learned how to cook! Fixed that today at this new cooking school. Can confirm: Tasted good, and didn't fuck it up!

Rice cooked in bamboo cane! (Khao Larm). Thai red sticky rice, palm sugar and coconut milk poured into bamboo, and then roasted (the ends are sealed during cooking). Then split open the cane and the thin bamboo membrane holds the rice in place to hold and eat.
