In 1954 Ann Hodges was hit by a meteorite. Here she shows the giant bruise on her side & hip after she was struck. She is the only confirmed person in history to have been hit by a meteorite. It crashed through her roof, ricocheted off some furniture and hit her where she was napping under a blanket
The Moses Bridge: A sunken bridge in Halsteren, Netherlands built low down in the water, so that you can’t see it from a distance. It was built within a moat to allow people to cross the water and get to Fort de Roovere, a 17th century fort built for protection against invasion from France and Spain
