I’ve wanted a metal detector since I was about 10 years old, now I needed to buy one to find property lines marked by iron nails. Found a gently used Bounty Hunter 1100 with carrying bag and headphones. I used it for 5 minutes around my house and found a few items, nothing valuable but I’m all in!

I fully restored my Empire 208 turntable with 980 tonearm and Shure M75E cartridge. It was a long process and requiring the tonearm was a real challenge. The end result is worth it as it sounds great and all readings are good!

What was your first Benchmade knife? For me, it was this 350 Mel Pardue from probably around 2003. It was carried daily for many years and to this day remains the hardest to sharpen knife I think I own because of the spear point!

I got a Series 2 Stainless in December 2017 and have worn it everyday. Still going strong! Battery lasts two and 1/2 days easily and the stainless polishes nicely. The newest iOS 5.1.3 has improved the responsiveness. I’ll upgrade at some point but I’m still really satisfied. Just wanted to share!

I just wanted to show a little love for this amp I picked up at an estate sale and really JVC in general. I have a SEA-60 EQ, Kd-D20 tape deck (and KD-D10), and this A-S7 Amplifier. All required some initial work but I’ve never had a major issue with any of it and it doesn’t sound half bad either!

Free pick up over the weekend. Optimus SCT-86. Very compact unit, banana for scale. Radio Shack brand from the 1990s/2000s. Also bonus blanks. Left channel was very weak but it was an easy fix. No lights on the left channel unfortunately but the sound is clear and even so it’ll do for now.

Follow up post to my Harman Kardon 730 post. I got it after a fair negotiation. I need to replace the dial lamp (easy) but when I turn it on after it’s been off awhile there is a staticky roar in the left channel that fades out in a few seconds and does not return.
