My friend is an engineer, has a 3d printer and an affinity for all things Milwaukee. The end result is a portable, temperature-controllable soldering station, working off an M18 battery.
So tired of fighting my crew to keep batteries charged, so I used an old broken sawhorse to make a charging station. 1A, 2A, 4A, & 8A chargers for variety. Stagger allows me to charge any size battery on any port. Pulls 13.5A so it should run on household circuits. Has a 15’ 12ga cord.
This is the part I hate the most after buying sockets.

NTD! Used to belong to an 84 year old former Lockheed Skunkworks engineer. He bought them for his job not realizing Lockheed provided all the tools. So it sat unused since 1977. All Vaco US-made tools before it got bought by Klein. I feel very fortunate to have received this from him.

A chunk of rail my dad bequeathed to me. Salvaged back in 1969, he’d been using it as an anvil when he was making knives as a hobby. Now that he’s 90 he figured he’d give it to me. After a week soaking in Evaporust it’s ready for another 40 years of use.
Happy birthday to me
I'm not much of a carpenter, but I finally managed to build something I didn't hate

Specialized electronic tool here. I built an Arduino-controlled device that automatically turns on my wood shop air filtration system whenever it hears a saw run. It then turns the system off 2 hours later, totally automating my dust collection. Build/demo link in the comments.
