I was about to get a 5k stone but then came across this range of pastes from Tech Diamond Tools. I had a lot of unused strops and I figure that for $21 for three syringes of US made paste (4k, 8k, 50k) it was worth a try. Results were excellent on my EDC knife as well as my Japanese steel chef's.2yr ⋅ Tshukudu ⋅ r/sharpening
