We have reindeer.

Some say Norway is a hot destination now, but they don't know how to pick their adjectives.

We took a plane south from Svalbard to get to the fjords on the west coast of mainland Norway. Slartibartfast won an award for his work on this.

Lots of interesting geology on the rugged coast. This is Kannesteinen.

Lofoten is an archipelago that is all connected by bridge. Good for road trips, if you like this kind of landscape.

We have puffins.

We have waterfalls all over the place, and they come in all sizes. People with bananas in backpack for scale.

See? Always a waterfall in the background, sometimes two.

The road standard is pretty good.

Take your time and make many stops, and you'll be fine driving around the country.

A lot of Norway is mountain, above the tree limit. It's still pretty.

And we have cities. Like this one, Bergen.

And we have art. This monolith is in Vigelandsanlegget/Frognerparken in Oslo.

Oslo has a lot of different architecture, so if you don't mind a mix of everything, it's not bad.

17 May is the single day of the year where you can expect to see lots of people out wearing their national costume.

Or you can wear whatever you want. Everyone is out in the streets celebrating together. Hurra for 17. mai!
