Khachkars(decorated cross-stones typical of medieval Christian Armenian art)from the Armenian cemetery in Julfa, Nakhijevan, Azerbaijan. This cemetery contained the largest surviving collection of Armenian khachkar, most dating to the 15th and 16th centuries. Destroyed by Azerbaijan in 2005[720x938]
Statue of King Gagik I of Armenia (989-1017), the statue(2.26-meter high)was found in 1906 in excavations in the city of Ani. The statue had Gagik holding the Church of St. Gregory which is considered one of his main projects. it was lost in uncertain circumstances at the end of the WWI [470 x 1020]
