Is there any wrong in using the same 7805 I use to power other digital ICs, as virtual ground? Its just 1V lower than middle voltage. I use +12V directly from power supply to power opamps like TL074 *in an audio circuit*

Using finger skin to detect touch with Arduino. I did analogRead and set a threshold. It sort of works, but value wiggles,which I found it can be tamed by adding one of those capacitors, either seems to work. Didn't find any examples of this technique, is there any shortcoming? Do I need protection?

schematic to switch between 2 audio signals (clean, distorted). Could anyone explain why the signal would go to the red line without going to ground (purple line)? I mean, in my mind on any switch position, both paths go to gnd.
