Rocking might look odd to most people, but it feels natural to me! I wanted to make a comic showing how it felt.5yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/autism

Squishy hasn’t been ‘fed’ in ages... because her bioactive vivarium produces its own superworms and mealworms. Every night, she hunts!2yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/leopardgeckos
On a serious note, we autistics are often dismissed and gaslit by family, educators and professionals. This is how it feels.4yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/autism
This is why I do t make eye contact: I want to understand what you’re saying.5yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/autism
Drawing some stim-positive illustrations this month. Here’s a nice little happy flap.5yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/autism
Thanks to all of your encouragement, I’ve publicly come out as autistic and have started posting stimming illustrations on my Twitter account. I’m on cloud nine!5yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/autism
If someone doesn’t look autistic, it might be because they’ve unknowing spent their lives learning how to not look autistic. Eventually, it catches up with us.4yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/autism

Whenever I’m gardening and dig up an anole egg, I move it to a small terrarium for protection. When one hatches, I give it a meal and let my preschooler release it into the garden. We have a lot of green anoles now.6yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/reptiles
Sometimes words only get in the way. If a verbal autistic suddenly becomes nonverbal, please be patient and allow us to communicate using other methods, if possible.4yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/autism
I’m drawing a stim every day this month! This one is called ‘Thumb Circles’ and is discrete enough for public situations.5yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/autism
I’ve done another illustration to demonstrate stimming from an autistic perspective. It serves a purpose!5yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/autism
The stims for yesterday and today are foot-rubbing and thumb-rubbing, two ways to relax and unwind. #Stimtober4yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/autism
I’m drawing a different stim every day this month to celebrate #Stimtober, and today’s stim is ‘Mini Flaps’! I do this when I’m I’m either very excited on at the tipping point of a meltdown.5yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/autism
Five years ago this was a muddy, weedy ditch. Now it’s a dry creek bed!6yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/gardening
I’ve redesigned my Stimmy Kitty character to be not a cat, but a REAL autistic girl who wears kitty ears because she relates to cats more than people. Hoping to write many picture books for her.4yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/autism
Because there aren’t enough illustrations of happy aspies stimming out there... going to do a lot more of these.5yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/aspiememes
Here’s another illustration, this time to demonstrate how we practice ‘active listening’.5yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/autism
When someone doesn’t ‘look autistic’, it’s probably because they’re using all of their mental resources to look normal.4yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/aspiememes

[OC] Today’s #Stimtober stim of the day is ROCKING! Since accepting that I’m autistic and getting formally diagnosed, I’ve found myself rocking all the time. Thanks to stimming and self acceptance, I’ve never been happier and more at peace.5yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/autism
What do you LOVE about being autistic? What do you appreciate that no one else gets?5yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/autism
Still can’t figure out posting animated gifs here, but the stim for today is Happy Flaps! I am always flapping away whenever I’m about to eat yummy foods. [oc]4yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/autism
We hatched a baby green anole and put her in a tiny bioactive setup for a couple of nights. She decided to bunk with a couple of snails.6yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/reptiles
Did another stimming illustration! I’ll draw a lot more but have taken a break to pitch my work to literary agents. Gotta get more autistic kids in books! This is one of my happy dancy stims that I do while home alone.5yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/autism

Has anyone else here experimented with an arid bioactive setup yet? My leopard gecko loves hers...6yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/reptiles
Here’s my bioactive setup after a few modifications. Substrate stays covered up by cork, rocks, etc. so that it doesn’t get ingested, and layers of oak leaves keep it breathable for the microfauna. The right side stays dry, so I might end up using some burrowing clay.6yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/leopardgeckos
I’ve been experimenting with excavator clay in my bioactive setup and Squishy has been thoroughly entertained. It’s great for packing between rocks, hides and cork slabs like mortar.6yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/leopardgeckos
OC: Hopefully I learned something since yesterday’s attempt. Any critiques are appreciated!6yr ⋅ LoyalScrewup ⋅ r/PixelArt
