Just wanted to say thank you again for your help yesterday. This little guy had a successful nav stack test last night! So satisfying.

Any advice? My costmap is rotated relative to my map. AMCL and odom appear to work correctly - I can drive around on the map and it tracks along nicely with move_base turned off. Rotation varies by how the robot is initially oriented. RPI4 + arduino for odom, my own code. More detail as comment.
