The brunette is my sister who left TSCC 11 years ago. I was TBM then. We grew apart, settled on opposite sides of the country. In my faith crisis we reconnected. She loved and supported me deeply. Last week we took our first trip together to honor our journeys. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
It's not just about a fun play. It's being onstage after uncertainty that I'd ever do it again. It's feeling confidence not shame in sexy costumes. It's loud laughter at adult humor. It's about a dream that got me through my darkest years. It's about living freely and loving it. And I'm SO grateful.
Life gives you battle scars. Whether on your heart from a faith crisis or on your body from two thyroid cancer surgeries, wear them proud because they made you stronger. Find yourself, find your people and love them harder than your than your hardest moments. Sending 💛 to you all, heathen friends.
