In October 2015 I moved to Trapper Creek Alaska, built this cabin, and lived in it alone for a year. It kind of sucked, but it was also the greatest experience of my life.

I built this during the pandemic. It’s essentially a fancy tiny house treestand In the middle of the bush on my land.

We renovated this traditional stone building in 2018, lived happily ever after since. 40sqm with rain water harvesting and solar power. Not finished yet, will we ever stop working on it?

After some initial setbacks, had an hour and 15 minute call with the town building inspector this week. Things are looking up for my dream cabin build between these two creeks starting in 2023

I was trying to find a way not to do a second post, but I don’t have a link for additional photos. Lots of time and energy. At one point I consider donating it to the fire department to burn down but I think long-term it will be a great spot
