Preliminary thrust tests for June comp. Rig made of spare wood, point it at the wall, stand behind and wear goggles. Ended up maxing the scales at 5.5kg, roughly 70% power.

My father found this unique key in a home he purchased. It is 8.5 inches long, made of heavy steel. Cannot find any gas valves it could possibly go to. No writing or markings. More pics of the unusual end in the comments. Hoping someone here can help or has come across something similar?

How to properly mesh gears? I have a little hobby motor from radhioshack, 1.5-3V. And it came with a gear that is 5mm O.D. How would a create a meshing gear? The idea is that I want to reduce the rotations, creating a slow lifting marble elevator essentially. I am going to 3D print the gear.
