My mom wanted me to share her “big boy” on here. He’s currently in a 10” pot that I sent her recently. He’s HUGE and likes to “crawl” out of his pots. No clue what kind of violet he is- just a walmart rescue.4yr ⋅ Caitlin233 ⋅ r/AfricanViolets
This is the first of my props to get pretty big. Is it time to separate them? I've never done it before. Thanks!3yr ⋅ 29hayley ⋅ r/AfricanViolets

A couple of months ago I posted a picture of the then flower-less purple guy in this picture. The crown looked so tight to me, I asked the group if it would prevent flowers from emerging. You responded to let me know it’s not a problem and you sure were right!!3yr ⋅ ian-t-g ⋅ r/AfricanViolets

I am back with yet another question about my AV! I moved her in front of a (I believe) north facing window for more natural sunlight, will she be okay here? Before moving her here, she was right next to the window but never directly in front of it.1yr ⋅ ElevatedBrownie37 ⋅ r/AfricanViolets

Bought a leaf off a rare variety (LE-Vzbitye Slivki) from a person I met on FB. it looks very different from the leaves on the plant I had of this sort years ago. Is this diseased? Keeping it quarantined for now. Thoughts?8mo ⋅ Dense-Word-8000 ⋅ r/AfricanViolets
I left my girl with a friend for two weeks, and she’s come back with fading color. Brownish rings around the leaves, bleaching petals. I think it was colder and less sunny where my friend was keeping her. Does she just need to get back to my normal care? I’m worried about leaving her for Christmas.1yr ⋅ Valentin0813 ⋅ r/AfricanViolets

Color changing violet. I changed the fertilizer I was giving it from 7-7-7 to 8-14-9, both listed as African violet fertilizer. The 7-7-7 caused the flowers to turn the light color but the violet is actually supposed to be the dark color that it turned back to after changing to the 8-14-9.4yr ⋅ Chicken-Peeps ⋅ r/AfricanViolets

Artistic propagation. The other day u/incognitoville posted a pretty single leaf propagation in a small clear glass bottle. I found this today at a thrift store, if the picture does it justice, a very unusual centerpiece? But, I'm really excited to try her technique with a lot of leaves.2yr ⋅ patre101 ⋅ r/AfricanViolets
