Embracing the gray. Started getting heavy salt mixed in with the pepper on my chin (right around when my daughter was born, what a coincidence) and I have no plans of ruining it with Just For Men.2yr ⋅ thebrads ⋅ r/beards
Had some leftover slabs of hickory and hard maple in the shop, and I didn't want to pay $60+ for a stand. Left the live edges on and triple-coated it with spray-on polyurethane. I kinda like how it turned out!4yr ⋅ thebrads ⋅ r/onewheel
Got shedloads of juves, along with the perk that makes one citizen type an ally. Thing is, juves were the only type aboard this particular ship. There were so many that i had to constantly outrun them or they'd surround me and clog the doorways!5yr ⋅ thebrads ⋅ r/VoidBastards
Wondering about a Cobb Stage 1 + Big SF PKG for my 2020 WRX. What are the benefits/pitfalls of installing one? I do want a smoother engine response but I also don't want to do anything that'll unnecessarily hurt the resale or void the warranty.4yr ⋅ thebrads ⋅ r/WRX
Uhhhhh. Thought I'd eradicated this last year but now it's back and bigger than ever. I call it the alien brain. I ran it by a DNR officer and even he didn't know what it was. When you cut into it, it's basically charcoal/black almost all the way through. I put my hand in the pic for scale.2yr ⋅ thebrads ⋅ r/Fungi
Be honest. This is a 10x14 platform at 10' high. Posts are on post holders. 2x6 joists running lengthways. Clearly I need SOMETHING else for lateral stability, so I'll likely add longer knee braces that go from the bottom of the posts to the middle of the joists on the long sides. What else?4yr ⋅ thebrads ⋅ r/treehouse
About to install this. It's more for side to side stability than load, but I'm wondering how far I should drill into a 12-13” diameter limb (maple). I was thinking of about 6 to allow for the thread plus 1 of the shaft. A pipe bracket will be on it, attached to a 4x6 joist.4yr ⋅ thebrads ⋅ r/treehouse
$25 solution to convert your stock FM fender into one that will work with the C&R mag fender. I used #10-24 machine screws with #10 nuts and washers. Sanded down the big nubs on the stock fender with a belt sander so the fit would be closer to the footpads.4yr ⋅ thebrads ⋅ r/onewheel
Didn't respect the pushback this evening, folks. Luckily I had full body armor and helmet on or it'd have been worse.2yr ⋅ thebrads ⋅ r/onewheel
