During WW2 a Finnish soldier, Aimo Koivunen, overdosed on 30 experimental Amphetamine pills, escaped being surrounded by soviet forces twice, then stepped on a landmine and had to survive off pine buds and a single raw bird, at which point he skied over 250 miles to the nearest hospital and survived
