My granddad's camping/ hunting gear. The sheath is a belt mounted one, with the knife on the outside and the axe on the inside. Knife is really soft steel, not made for hard use, but extremely easy to sharpen. On the blade it says Jowika solingen Germany and has a little bird on the side6yr ⋅ Textomancer ⋅ r/EDC

Yesterday I posted my EDC while on break from preparing my exams. Today I passed it, and decided to listen to 201801s advice. A lawyer without a pen is worthless so I decided to treat myself with a nice pen I'll carry with me at all times. Thanks for the advice sir.6yr ⋅ Textomancer ⋅ r/EDC
Three days ago someone left a box of two kittens on my front door. People who know cats and the vet told me they're 3/4 weeks old, and I took care of them for 3 days now, and they are finally looking healthier and not in danger of perishing, everyone say hi to Themis and Phoebe.4yr ⋅ Textomancer ⋅ r/aww

This is my favourite axe that I own. Its been in the family for 3 generations, the handle and the head have never been apart, and the only thing done to it through the many years of hard use on the bungalow was a generous coating of boiled linseed oil each year.5yr ⋅ Textomancer ⋅ r/Axecraft
Made my first knife proper today. Steel was from an old plane blade and handle is scrap wood. 13cm full length, with the blade being 5cm. Its ment as a gift for my gf. All that I used were hand files, a hand saw and sandpaper. I still have to treat the handle.6yr ⋅ Textomancer ⋅ r/knives

Got myself a new Casio AE-1300WH-8A. I have two heirloom watches from my dad and granddad, but I needed a beater that is cheap and good. Also this is my first quartz crystal watch, and I love the fact I don't have to set it every week or so.6yr ⋅ Textomancer ⋅ r/EDC

Ok, so this is my first locking knife. It was a one year anniversary gift for me and my gf at the time, we both had one. Its made of 440c, cant hold a good edge, the assisted opening spring broke on mine in the first month. It came out the box with blade play. But it introduced me to pocket knives6yr ⋅ Textomancer ⋅ r/knives

Have to travel to a knife unfriendly country in a month, and had to get a substitute for my Ganzo F720. Dug around my granddad's stuff and found his pocket knife. Its sharp (although messy), and a bit rusty. Has a gorgeous patina on the back spring. As always granddad got my back.6yr ⋅ Textomancer ⋅ r/knives
I got this Opinel no.8 in walnut as a gift, and found that it is a bitch to open when wet due to the wood swelling. Thus the pinch open mod. But that said, it is so going to my fancy carry mode when in a suit.6yr ⋅ Textomancer ⋅ r/knives
Dad's old M70 bayonet. It was standard isue for JNA Yugoslavian National Army (Jugoslovenska Nacionalna Armija). Known to be a good workhorse, just don't drop it on the side against stone, they are a bit brittle.6yr ⋅ Textomancer ⋅ r/knives
All finished up. I changed out the handle design into a more rounded one, with a rougher finish (his choice). But this is the final product. Its sharp as all hell, as my finger found out when it swung around in my shitty vice during sanding.5yr ⋅ Textomancer ⋅ r/knives
Bought a Gerber multi tool. Its used and one of the cutter teeth and screws is missing, and the reusable blade is unusable as the edge is fucked. But all in all i think its a good catch for 50 bucks.
