I practiced social distancing today at the MidSouth Gravel. Finished 2nd in the 50 mile! Started with rain for almost 30 miles, then the dirt started drying out and turning to glue. That sucked.

This was a really hard line. You had to come right at the camera, then scoot up a root right next to a tree, with a foot drop off right along that rock to the right made it once.

It doesn't get much better than tonight. 70°, no wind, clear skies. Twenty string on the group, everyone felt strong and the pace was high. 35 miles with an 18.9 average speed.

Despite threats of a wet day, 500+ souls came to Almanzo to test themselves on the new course. I can't thank those who towed the line enough. I can't thank those who registered enough. 1800 of you in total thought the move to a new course was a good idea. We'll be doing it again, come on back.

And Happy NBD to me after the ROB post. Sold a Checkpoint SL6 to get this Salsa Di2 Warbird. I've owned a Warbird in the past, and this is different. Can't quite put my head around what is different yet - but there's something. Probably head angle and height of the head tube. Anyways time to fiddle.
