Birdie is a kisser. In the mornings she can be a bit obsessive with the licking. I don’t particularly enjoy being licked so much but it seems really socially important to her. We typically let her get some bonding grooming in before gently redirecting. Anyone else’s ACD display this behavior.2yr ⋅ Pituophisdogs ⋅ r/AustralianCattleDog
At 30 pounds and a bit finer boned, Birdie won’t win best ACD at any shows but an ACD breeder once went on and on about Birdie’s excellent head and ear set conformation. (And of course she has the ACD sitting posture down pat)😂2yr ⋅ Pituophisdogs ⋅ r/AustralianCattleDog
Defiant ACDs; When asked to come inside, our girl Birdie will on occasion just look at us and completely ignore our request. If I insist, she will begrudgingly follow the command. 😂 Anyone else have a stubborn ACD?2yr ⋅ Pituophisdogs ⋅ r/AustralianCattleDog
Can anyone help me figure out what kind of ACD mix I have? 😉2yr ⋅ Pituophisdogs ⋅ r/AustralianCattleDog
My partner and I are planning on getting a second ACD, in part to give this little stinker some companionship. I’d like to hear from anyone with two female ACDs regarding same sex aggression or the lack there of. Birdie is typically shy, very sweet, and somewhat submissive around other dogs.2yr ⋅ Pituophisdogs ⋅ r/AustralianCattleDog
Monkey (ACD/BC) was a real ham in front of the camera. ACD attitude, BC coat. Turns out this is a damned good breed mix.2yr ⋅ Pituophisdogs ⋅ r/AustralianCattleDog
Australian cattle dogs! Why do we love them? Because they are rough and tumble, because they are loaded with personality, because they can be a bit defiant, because they are genuinely sweet natured, because they are go anywhere dogs, because they can be challenging, because they get it, because....2yr ⋅ Pituophisdogs ⋅ r/AustralianCattleDog
