I don’t have the right gear or clothing. My bike is probably way heavier than it needs to be considering I only ride on paved trails. I’m probably heavier than I should be too. But yesterday I finally did my first metric century. Had to do an extra 100 meters in a parking lot later, but I did it.

Bone-In Ribeye thrown in the bath for 3 hours at 135. My friend and I are both poor college students, but we try to sous vide some decent cuts a couple weekends a month. It is probably my favorite tradition.

I bought winter gear for me to be able to withstand the cold and ride through the winter. Didn’t actually do that, and today was finally warm enough for me to go on my first ride since October. Here’s to Spring!

Does anyone know what has been going on with BYU’s US News ranking over the last few years? I remember us being in the 60s when I first started here, and was surprised to see we dropped down to 80 recently. Something seems to have happened last year that took us down 14, but I can’t figure out what.

Suffered a pretty bad concussion 8 months ago, and I am finally getting back in shape enough to go on longer bike rides. Went 24 miles today and it felt so freeing.

Rented a road bike today (normally ride a mountain bike) and managed to crash into a pole a mile into the ride. Luckily the other 41 were accident free and I was able to enjoy the hills along the Sacramento River
