Every one knows that when you grow up your beloved stuffed toys turn in to real animals, just like the velveteen rabbit.1yr ⋅ onelostmoose ⋅ r/FairytaleasFuck
For my fist post here let me share with you my very own cabin (built circa 1790s?).2yr ⋅ onelostmoose ⋅ r/CabinPorn
The road goes ever on and on, down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the road has gone and I must follow if I can, pursuing it with eager feet, until it joins some larger way were many paths and errands meet.2yr ⋅ onelostmoose ⋅ r/FairytaleasFuck
A cute little log cabin. Hand hewn in the late 18thc-early 19thc, and still well loved.2yr ⋅ onelostmoose ⋅ r/CabinPorn
Found this beautiful mahogany Victorian organ that was turned into a writing desk. It just screams DA! My husband had been admiring it at the antiques store for over a year. It got seriously discounted so I purchased it for him as a present :)2yr ⋅ onelostmoose ⋅ r/DarkAcademia
Thought I would join the pocket party ;) Made thees a few years ago, it was the second thing I ever embroidered (addicted to historical hand embroidery now) Based off of a extant pocket from costume close up. Linen ground with silk binding and cotton and wool embroidery.2yr ⋅ onelostmoose ⋅ r/HistoricalCostuming
This is the only actual light fixture from the 1920s addition of our house.(all the others were lite bulbs on a string style) Its all fix up now!3yr ⋅ onelostmoose ⋅ r/centuryhomes
Here is a glimpse into my DA bed room decorated for winter. (House built circa 1790-1820) Enjoy!2yr ⋅ onelostmoose ⋅ r/DarkAcademia
This is what I was hoping for :) Found these beautiful 4x6 hand hewed, hand planned joists while lifting up some second story floor boards for repairs in our home (circa 1800) An exposed beam ceiling may be in our future!2yr ⋅ onelostmoose ⋅ r/centuryhomes
The only good photo of my Houpalande. Heavely inspired by the Tres Riches book of hours for the Duc of Berry (1412). Six yards of wool and countless hours or daging and embroidery later....2yr ⋅ onelostmoose ⋅ r/HistoricalCostuming
Happy winter all, stay warm and cozy! (my circa 1800 bedroom decorated for Christmas)2yr ⋅ onelostmoose ⋅ r/centuryhomes
Reproduction of a early N. American settlers cabin. Built with hand tools, period methods and materials. At the Frontier culture museum. I have photos of the inside if there's interest!2yr ⋅ onelostmoose ⋅ r/CabinPorn
Our computer/electronics corner in our 220 year old home. Going for that really old school look. Sill a W.I.P. When we got the place almost every room had a chest hi pile of trash, so it's come a long way!1yr ⋅ onelostmoose ⋅ r/Cozyunderbudget
An old settlers cabin in a field. Looks like some one tried fixing it up before it was once again abandoned. oc2yr ⋅ onelostmoose ⋅ r/AbandonedPorn

Second thing I ever embroidered (I made this a few years ago and now I'm addicted to historical hand embroidery) 18thc pair of pockets based off of a extant piece. Cotton and wool on a linen ground with silk facing.2yr ⋅ onelostmoose ⋅ r/Embroidery
As requested here is a close up of the hex sign on our spring house. You also get a good view of the ceiling/Flore of the second story. It was used for storage or perhaps extra housing or emergency living quarters in case of raids. The plaster clearly needs to be redone, the last time was 18423yr ⋅ onelostmoose ⋅ r/centuryhomes
A fully functional reproduction of a early 17th century hearth. It is almost identical in design to many medieval fireplaces. Used for both cooking and heating. More efficient than later fully enclosed 18thc fireplaces. I wold love to have one like this!2yr ⋅ onelostmoose ⋅ r/hearthsidecooking
