1918 Storm in the West. Published in 1992 in Command mag issue 16. Bob and I played last Saturday. He described it as a knife fight for 16 turns. I won by 1 point in via the last attack on the last turn, a very close and balanced game. It covers WW1 Western Front from March to November 1918.

100 years ago today. My grandfather, known to me as Pop, was sent to France with the 11th battalion Hampshire regiment. He was 18 years old at the time. His unit was the divisional pioneer battalion of the 16th (Irish) Division of the British Army. He survived the war and lived to the age of 83.

A week late for the centenary. Black Day Of The German Army cover the first two days of the battle of Amiens in 1918. It has tanks, Yanks, Poilus, Aussies, Canucks, Boche, Brits, and a few trench lines to be broken. I hope it hits the table when I get together with the lads at Game Empire, Pasadena.
