I’m in a mood tonight, with a weeks worth of stress building up for me to deal with all at once. I do believe Gomee is picking up on it. I’m sitting w/him while listening to some music, but he’s been “growling” at me. Ugh. It’s amazing how sensitive these creatures are and how they can intuit moods.

Is it typical for a chihuahua to refuse to walk in a leash?! Mr. Pickles cowers and freezes up whenever I try to walk him on a leash. UGH!

I recently adopted an adult chihuahua. This tiny little chihuahua seems to be frightened of EVERYTHING!Including my backyard. He refuses to potty in the backyard, and insists I take him to the front yard, which means we have to leash up and I have to get dressed. UGH! Solutions?

Gomee knows “gimme kiss”!! Everytime I say it he reaches out to give kisses. Makes me a bit nervous (😳)... but he’s always so gentle about it! It took me being a brave girl to test it out. 🤣

My Sweet Gomee flew a short distance today for the first time since I’ve had her!! WOOHOO!!! Her flight feathers are growing back and I hope she becomes more confident and is able to fly again!! It was a short flight from my bedroom to the LR floor... but I’m feeling hopeful! 🥰🥰🥰

My girl, Jazzy, apparently had a seizure tonight all of a sudden. We ran to the vets and now I’m scared to death. Vet said she could have a possible small brain tumor and gave me a rx for gabapentin and her blood work is wonky. She’s 12 yo.

So... I added a bit of peanut butter to some pellets for Gomee tonight, and SUCCESS!! He’s loving it! The plan now is to decrease the amount of peanut butter until it’s just pellets. Wish me luck!!

My sweet Gomee is not in a hormonal phase... but my question is... why does she want to regurgitate for me whenever she’s off her play top?! If she’s on her cage she’s calm... but as soon as she comes off her cage she gets overly excited and wants to hang onto me and regurgitate. I’m confused 😐

So my mother is all of a sudden aware of bird fanciers lung and is up in arms about my sweet Gomee. What can I say to her that would help alleviate her fears? I have two small air purifiers by the cage and clean the droppings and cage every day.

So Gomee absolutely does NOT want to step up for me unless I’m bribing her with a treat, & then still gets nervous about it. She loves attention, head scratches,and kisses and such.... But stepping up seems to be a real no-go and will cause her to bite if I keep trying. Any suggestions?
