Now that I'm done with my NYC region, I moved on to a generic one and I just completed this city after going out of my way to build a genuine port/industrial area amidst a thriving downtown. Thoughts? Population 1million+6yr ⋅ jlv253 ⋅ r/simcity4
Newest city I'm working on - population 1.1 million. Daytime view to follow but I thought it looked really cool at night! On the right-hand side, there's a slummy area down by the river and the port, just under the bridge, which I loved!6yr ⋅ jlv253 ⋅ r/simcity4
Nice and dark up in the hills to the north, in suburbia, with the thriving downtown area beneath. Pop. now 1.4 million6yr ⋅ jlv253 ⋅ r/simcity4
Municipal Center... My wife saw this and pointed out that I got a little carried away with the fountains. LOVING the Maxis DLC BATs (SF City Hall, Sagrada Familia, Brandenburg Gate, etc.) Pop. 400k.6yr ⋅ jlv253 ⋅ r/simcity4
Historic harbor and town center, featuring Spanish and colonial Spanish architecture, on an island, opposite a modern downtown.6yr ⋅ jlv253 ⋅ r/simcity4
Population 380k, trees are hiding the naval fort just north of the second bridge, with a nice blend of ancient and modern throughout this city6yr ⋅ jlv253 ⋅ r/simcity4
Municipal Center + Stadium, surrounded by downtown. Population 740k and counting, large tile.6yr ⋅ jlv253 ⋅ r/simcity4
Work in progress, going for a city full of ornate plazas and parks, and it also has two 18th century naval forts along the river to the north, because it's a city with a blend of history and future.6yr ⋅ jlv253 ⋅ r/simcity4
Usually my cities are all skyscrapers, all day, every day, so I thought I'd do something a little different here with a fort on a hilltop, very light residential, and farmland just about everywhere. Don't plan on developing the south side (region pop: 8million)6yr ⋅ jlv253 ⋅ r/simcity4
Here's the transit view of it. I tried to keep the expressways somewhat realistic but without mods, diagonals are tough so the LIE ends up being all zig-zaggy (and the FDR was impossible to build).6yr ⋅ jlv253 ⋅ r/simcity4
