Third Knife done! I'm happy with the outcome even though it does have some very obvious flaws and scratches. It WILL however, work for decades! This is the first one i made 100% from scratch!

In this system, is the ratio 2:1 or 3:1? Does the Munter/ Italian in place of a Petzl Stop or other device lessen the advantage? (I'm thinking because of the added friction)

A week ago or so i posted the materials for my fourth knife project - some people were interested to see the results. I've put literal blood, sweat and tears into this guy and i am so proud despite the rather obvious flaws! I even managed to heat treat successfully! Hopefully it will last a lifetime

Moving to Scotland soon. Lots of my kit seems to transfer to mix/ ice climbing. What's missing? (Obv I also got harness + slings + anchor setup sorted). Would you take a .75 friend ever? Small nuts? (Of course I'll need ice axes and crampons - I'm more after less obvious things that's missing).

Hi there! So, I've lost my extractor cap for a SRAM GX Eagle DUB Crankset. Any way to remove/ reinstall the cranks without it? Or do I need to buy a spare?

So my flies just arrived. I've bought them from an old, litterally, friend of mine. I have no idea what they are or how to choose an appropriate fly for my setup and purpose. Has flies developed much in the last decades? Not sure he's been fishing much lately.. (See comments for setup)

This is my first knife - It’s not so pretty but It’s cool I actually managed to pull of every step i planned and come out with a functioning knife despite a VERY limited set of tools! I can imagine knifemaking is a whole lot of fun when gear is more available, what are some essential items?

Tested my kasa for the first time today. I had sanded it real smooth (1200grit) but after having had water in it for some 5 minutes, it's way less smooth (The fibers opened up?) - I'm worried about the effects of this if i keep using it. Solutions? (I've oiled it plenty before use)

Hello! This is my first woodworking project so i have no clue what I'm doing. Anyway. I need this kasa to be watertight. So it is my understanding I should sand it til all fibers are closed. But how do i know when that is? Is it OK if there's like 1 toolmark left in the bottom or not?
