Finished my first ever quilt! You can see my first ever line of stitches with the walking foot just right of the center color strip (I should have practiced first) and the quilt is full of mistakes but I’m always going to treasure it!

My partner’s family had this long-suffering 33 year old Monstera which they gave to me to rehab. I clipped off the parts I want to salvage and have lots of stem/node that I don’t want to deal with. Before I compost it, I’m happy to send off as much as anyone wants if they pay for shipping.

I got challenged by the pattern maker (Tara Lee Quiltery) to piece her new pattern in a day, and I did it and I’m so proud of how it turned out. Curves are fun, I’m totally addicted. Gonna dye up a cool backing fabric and quilt it soon!

I’m excited to get quilting on this pillow top. I’m thinking hand quilting, with big stitches (maybe sashiko thread?) but worried about drawing attention away from the beautiful hand dyed fabric. What do y’all think?

I found a mixed bag of scraps at a thrift store and it feels like a mystery that needs solving. What was the original quilted working on? Stacks are exactly the same, pins were in some not in others. Blocks have been mysteriously serged. Also any ideas what to do with this collection?
