Never forget yer flyback diodes on an inductive load. Some guys blew out two access control panels before I went in to check it out for myself. Drops to -15v and then shoots up to 50 when you engage/release the door strike. Panels didn't like that too much and gave up the ghost.1yr ⋅ DirtyPolecat ⋅ r/electronics

We were updating a hardware store with new security and came across this. PIR device needed to extend out over the rollup door, and they came up with this shit.5yr ⋅ DirtyPolecat ⋅ r/techsupportgore

Went to the local big box store and got drawers to organize my junk. It will probably last about two weeks before disarray sets back in...4yr ⋅ DirtyPolecat ⋅ r/electronics
Found my own long-lost childhood from 1993. I was 12 at the time. Building the AM radio organ project as I'm posting this right now.5yr ⋅ DirtyPolecat ⋅ r/electronics
On days like this, I'm kinda glad I moved to MD. I don't know how y'all still put up with this shit every damn day. Literally impossible to get to anywhere in NoVa in a reasonable amount of time. This is not sustainable and will probably start affecting NoVa's economy in a negative way.2yr ⋅ DirtyPolecat ⋅ r/nova
Been flying quads for a year and a half, big and small. Decided to try a hex yesterday. Not too bad, seems noticeably more stable than my Estes Proto X (same size class), but did do more poorly in a bit of wind, probably owing to the bigger, broader body shell.9yr ⋅ DirtyPolecat ⋅ r/Multicopter
Ran out of AA batteries. Had to make a little mod. Works great!8yr ⋅ DirtyPolecat ⋅ r/techsupportgore
Posted in /r/bitcoin today. Notice the reappropriation of one of Banksy's paintings. It's so cute that they think they are anarchists.9yr ⋅ DirtyPolecat ⋅ r/Anarchism
