When a male emperor penguin stares at his erection, a reflection of his younger self stares back.
Catch and release in action. I caught this exact cutthroat trout for the third time this week. Top pic is this week, middle is early October, and bottom pic is mid September.
We white people better because we don’t consider ourselves white
absolutely not me irl
But we already had a Muslim terrorist as a president for 8 years 🤔
It warmed up enough this week so I hit up one of my favorite small creeks. I caught this exact beautiful yellowstone cutthroat for a third time. Top picture is this week, middle is early October, and bottom is mid September.
A kid who seemed pretty timid IRL added me on facebook. Turns out he’s an absolute sex-having machine.
When early settlers came to the americas, they assimilated themselves legally and ethically into Native American culture.
First fish to be caught on a chubby chernobyl this year, and it’s going to be an extremely tough one to beat.
Finally got in a few hours last week on a warm 34 degree weather day
Addiction gate keeping
Finally got into my best brown of the year a couple weeks ago. He was awfully pretty.
Absolute slob of a Henry’s fork bow on the trusty green sex dungeon
So glad I have a two hour gap between classes
I love it when God does that
This was tweeted in reply to Trumps accusations towards democrats for the death of children at the border. Was this what it took to finally get some people to wake up?
Excellent point. Islamophobia=good
This cutty was an absolute dinosaur. Caught this old man sipping on some pmd’s right under that brush behind me.
Stayed at an Airbnb the other night, this creek ran through the backyard
I'm a Mormon and I'm deeply offended

First time fishing the Davidson River in NC
My opal and orange guides choice hares ear nymph has been proving itself to be mighty effective the last couple of times I’ve used it.
You don't always have to wade for it when you only have a couple hours after class
Swung small wooly buggers during a snowstorm. Was rewarded with this
5 pairs of my trustiest attractor nymph patterns in size 12
Tried Euro nymphing for the first time yesterday. Still have a lot to learn, but i at least got a few fish out of it!
This is NOT the catch I was expecting today on the lower end of Henry’s fork. Hooked into this guy while my streamer was dangling in the current as I broke ice off my guides.
Messing around and came up with this little jig. Someone’s probably already tied this, but the body is wrapped tinsel and then ribbed with stripped peacock herl.
We should only accept wealthy, white immigrants
Healthy n thique
This sex-haver makes these kinds of posts a couple times a week
Small stream brown that just seemed to glow in the late afternoon
I’ve tried many PT variations. This one seems to outperform all others in most situations. Can’t have enough of them.
Two big (sz 4 4x long), messy schlappen buggers
Christened my new rod today. Roanoke bass- like a rock bass, but it actually fights
Excuse my obsession with the natives
I had no idea how big these nymphs actually were until I found some on a stick I snagged.
Large, dark, and handsome prince with amber wire and a bronze tungsten bead. Sz 8 masu jig hook.
Sight fished to this guy in 12 of water. Rejected a popper a few times so I dropped a wooly bugger off of it.... one cast later and BAM
Not bad for a pellet-eating stocker
Slight variation of guide’s choice hares ear. I love the way the opal tinsel comes through.
Looks like you guys are on a brookie kick lately. Here’s mine
3 mini wooly buggers on jig hooks, each with slight variations. Size 8 hooks, but normal length shank. Wedding band for scale.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree

When the south fork flows finally get down to 5000 cfs
Henry's fork lights up when it rains
A couple of my first jig nymphs. They’re simple, but I love how they turned out.
Utah doesn’t suck. This hungry boy took a size 20 dry fly during the thickest baetis hatch I’ve ever seen
Personal best snake river cutty. Came up out of a deep hole for a purple haze.
I’ve been on the hunt for a big brown trout using streamers and nymphs. I always just end up catching chunky rainbows.
Trout are ugly and they live in ugly places
Roommate’s Little Debbie star crunch sandwich
Grape, apple, and orange flavored frenchies

[Homemade] Deviled Eggs for Easter
The transition into winter has been pretty brutal this year in Idaho. This is only brown I’ve seen in a few weeks now, but it was sure a pretty one.
Had a day where I got to utilize and catch fish using every fly fishing method I know- streamers, drys, euro nymphing, dry dropper, and indicator nymphing. My favorite though was probably swinging this wet fly for this fish.
Went on a kayak float with my wife, decided I would take the rod for a cast here and there. I made a good decision.
Mini jig pats rubber legs, made possible by Fly Fish Food’s mini chenille.
I really like the way this one turned out. Baetis season is almost here in Idaho
Today might have been the last day of true autumn weather here in Idaho this year. Snow in the forecast after tomorrow. Glad too find these guys still rising to some bwos.
Tweet from an artist I really like :/
I too would laugh hysterically at my teacher if he said 9x1=7
Got bored and decided to try something new. Would you fish it? Size 8
Any tips for tying stimis on small hooks? These didn’t turn out as clean as I’d like but I think they’ll do. Sz 16
Went out for the last time before getting my tonsils removed and caught my fattest bow to date
I’ve never fished the Idaho salmonfly hatch, and it’s coming up here in a little over a month. Anybody have a favorite salmonfly pattern I should try? This is a size 6 chubby in the most salmonfly-est colors I have.
This doesn't happen every day
I finally got my wife to come out with me. She caught her first three fish on a fly rod, and on dries at that!
Finally put on waders for the first time since April. Rip wet wading, hello volumptuous brown trout

Whale shark found frozen to death in arctic circle, thousands of miles from its home
Is this the rarest minion?
Biggest hatch I've ever fished. Caddis on the Warm river in Idaho
I was pleasantly surprised by a fly I improvised myself today.
Went exploring in a new stream with low expectations (no information about the river, and high water from recent rain). Found this, along with countless sunfish.
[I ate] Lobster Roll
Made this from the chewed-up feather of a cat toy. If cats like it, why won't a fish?
Hares ear and opal sparkle dun. Not sure when exactly I’ll be fishing this (March brown hatch, perhaps?), but I like the way it looks.
Those of you who fish these, any difference between how these two actually perform on the water?
I know someone who touched fentanyl once. He died instantly.
Fellas, do you think a bass would spank this?
Name a more iconic duo. I’ll wait.
A tan and an olive caddis dry/emerger. Put a couple turns of dry hackle around the wing, kinda messy, but I think it will fish.
Foul hooked on a dry fly during a BWO hatch
definitely not me irl
With the last dry flies of the season mostly being bwos and midges, these beady bois are starting to take over more of my box
Being patriotic protects people, apparently
I think this belongs here
Damn I'm such a good person
I’ve been trying to get into tying more parachute style dries. The hardest thing for me has been dubbing the thorax after tying in the hackle, but this one turned out alright. Sz 18.
First successful day of dry fly fishing this year!
Back in NC for the summer. I missed throwing poppers for these guys
It's nice knowing somebody with a private pond
