[Seiko] My dad gifted me his Seiko 6105 diver, which he purchased at Lowry AFB in 1969 while attending intelligence training. He wore it in Vietnam while stationed at 7th Air Force HQ at Tan Son Nhut near Saigon. This watch was worn by Martin Sheen's character Captain Willard in 'Apocalypse Now'.3yr ⋅ CarexCrinita ⋅ r/Watches
Daughter found this dark fishing spider during a hike today in the Cuyahoga Valley NP. This monster was the size of my palm. According to Wikipedia: they detect ripples from prey on bodies of water, then run across the surface to subdue it using their front legs. Stuff of nigtmares.2yr ⋅ CarexCrinita ⋅ r/natureismetal
[Seiko] Posted my dad's Seiko 6105-8110 Vietnam Air Force story last week. He was floored by the interest and feedback! He dug through some old boxes and found a picture of himself sporting the Seiko on the deck of the USS Constellation before flying on a mission in an A-6. Happy Father's Day!3yr ⋅ CarexCrinita ⋅ r/Watches

Parents uncovered my Star Wars cards while clearing out their house. Haven't seen these bad boys in 20+ years! Took forever to get them organized. Now time to teach the kids (7 and 10) how to play!1yr ⋅ CarexCrinita ⋅ r/starwarsccg

The Yapoah, Little Belknap, and Belknap lava flows at McKenzie Pass, Oregon, USA cover ~65 square miles of land. Despite being several thousand years old, the flows remain devoid of vegetation. In 1964, NASA used the area to train astronauts for future lunar missions due to its moonscape qualities.2yr ⋅ CarexCrinita ⋅ r/interestingasfuck
