Scored an old wedgewood for free on Craigslist. Converted it to propane and installed it today in my rural offgrid home. Cleaned up great! Still need to do some tuning with the oven and griddle but the burners are all perfect now.

Found this at Goodwill for 50 cents or a dollar. It actually included the mounting bracket and swivel pin as well. It works great by holding the can and lid securely after cutting. Anything from Sears is right up my alley.

Help w Magic Chef 1930s oven- pilot won’t stay lit. Oven doesn’t light when gas turned on. Used to work well, but had some propane work and it hasn’t worked since. The pilot does seem to be getting gas, and the stovetop works perfectly. Anyone in the Portland OR area with antique oven knowledge??

Mimi's Saladmaster cookware, purchased from the Texas state fair ~ 40+ years ago. 3 to 4 pieces are used daily, I had no idea that these create vacuum seals, then turn down and vent, they can go in the oven if you remove the handles, and, you can pre-heat them on a stove without worry on medium.

As a kid, we received one as a house gift from a man from Japan... Mr. Takayodo (sp?) who my dad knew from his job at Zenith. My dad used it maybe once/never and it sat in the basement in the box.
