One of the aspects I live about the film was that Matt Reeves showed just how much Batman’s presence has shown that Gotham has gotten worse. In the comics Bruce becoming Batman is treated as this sign the tide is turning but here as a Real points out it’s a sign that Gotham has become that lawless

I loved that Matt Reeves showed Batman being an actual hero. Selfless acts of heroism is what is missing in most of superhero movies nowdays. When Batman sacrifices himself for people it hits so much harder. At the end of the day he isn't an indestructible alien or a demigod, he is just a man.
