I got a little over 800 pounds of wheel weights today for $100. The quantity of lead looks to be around 65-70%, but it could be more. At the very least I'm looking at 500lbs after I sort them. 'Breddy gewd if you ask me.

Someone asked me today why they were having such a hard time getting consistent OAL on handgun reloads so I opened a box to make him this. Figured I would share.
Shot 235 rounds in an hour and a half today so I can go home and reload them and start saving some money! /s

Got my first deer ever, and with a hand loaded round. 139gn interlock, imr4350, .280rem. Bullet went straight through him. Now what would you guys recommend for lead free bullets? Still have a bunch of testing to do to find a good load for my gun. But it really likes the interlocks.

Is it normal for (lead) wheel weights to start melting at ~400°F? I thought lead had a melting temp around 620°F?
