For any one who is new and doesn't know all these different names people are throwing out there when talking about their mead. Here is a guid for the types of mead and the names they go by.

Shared some of my mead from last years honey crop with the ladies that helped make it. I dribbled some of the elixer on the landing board which was cleaned up in seconds. One of the girls got crazy and took a dip in the jar. Promptly fished her out and watched the other girls happily dry her off.
25lbs of free honey. Was about to be trashed because it has hardened up. Next batch of mead is going to be extra large.

4 years ago I used very sweet peaches to add a fruity touch to my mead. The peaches blocked the airlock and this was the result. What you don't see is the ceiling with peach guts all over it.

Local meadery was selling some used equipment and I got a 10 gallon fermentasaurus and 7 gallon barrel for 25 dollars apiece. Feel like a I got a solid deal.

August challenge: King‘s Mead. 19-20% abv with champagne yeast, sweet finish. Half Forest honey and half wildflowers. Heavy toast american oak and a few toasted juniper berries for a month. Expected to have it age for very long but this stuff is amazing! No jet fuel, no harsh alcohol. Delicious 😋
