A single garnet sand grain balanced on another grain of sand. Garnet is 1/4th of a millimeter in diameter! From Bandon, Oregon beach - found faceted this way.

I forgot to clean a glass with some milkshake residue left in it over the weekend whilst I was away from home. Came back to find a stunning mid-chocolate rift with transform faults. The spreading rate was about 0.25 mm/day.
