I'm making a baby-sized Flax from my very first hand-dye and I'm so happy with the subtle variegation.

Natural dye palate
I’ve dyed fabric before but this was my first time dyeing yarn.
This yarn was inspired by my dog who has beautiful green eyes and a russet coat.
Got these gorgeous colours from dead leaves from a fallen branch of a gum tree. Just love the shades of amber, honey and caramel. Looks good enough to eat.
I used dark purple mums to dye this wool... not sure how I got green 🤷♀️

How to dye stretchy part of jacket? Trying to go black. The body took, but not around the bottom, arm cuffs, & collar. Used RitDye All Purpose.

Tied my yarn in several places, but won't dye the ties. Any suggestions to prevent this?

Tested some acrylic dye on this tiny ball of yarn. I've always wanted to dye my own yarn and occasionally try it out. I really love how this one came out! I'm looking forward to dying the rest of this yarn!
