As requested, my 35 year old Japanese maple on his new and exclusive bonsai table, made by my girlfriend. The brown/red table was renovated and varnished by me. I'm very pleased with the final result!
How is this possible to do this? Can someone break it down for me?

You know for sure that your (starter) tree is dead when a dove steals it out of your pot to use it as nest material.

Rockspray Cotoneaster. My wife calls it The Lizard. I dug this up from my garden as a tiny seedling with 3 leaves on it 28 years ago. It's been on the rock about a quarter of a century. Nice autumnal colours.
Urban Bonsai Tree - Chinese Pepper tree in an urban setting. Broken and graffitied fence topped with barbed wire, empty cider cans strewn on the paving slabs, tagged postbox and miniature street sign denoting the species. Combining my two favourite things - bonsai and street art.
