Just installed the Kirst Konverter cartridge cylinder for my Ruger Old Army. The manual says only ever load 5 chambers during the install and the hammer resting on the empty chamber when carrying. Are they being overly cautious? Or is that a realy safety concern? If it is I'll gladly follow it.1yr ⋅ hobovirginity ⋅ r/blackpowder

Older pietta New Model Army I found for sale for $45 bucks. It was pretty bad. Busted springs, bent base pin, screws missing, bluing was in terrible shape. Some new springs and screws. A new blueing job. a new pin. Good as new. 3rd Remington I’ve done this month!3yr ⋅ bfousnought ⋅ r/blackpowder
